About Dr Fidel Peña
Dr Fidel Peña, born in the city of Holguín, Cuba. He studied as a doctor at the Holguín Faculty of Medicine, part of the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences of Santiago de Cuba, and received the title of Doctor of Medicine in 1983. In 1987 he obtained the title of Specialist in First Degree in Neurosurgery, in the Hermanos Ameijeiras Surgical Clinical Hospital, Havana.

His professional work as a medical specialist was developed between 1983 and 1992, at the Vladimir Ilich Lenin Provincial Teaching Hospital, Holguín, Cuba. In the year 1993-1994 he made the homologation and incorporation to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Costa Rica as Surgeon and Specialist in Neurosurgery.
Since 1993 he has been working in the Neurosurgery Service of the Doctor Fernando Escalante Pradilla Regional Hospital in Pérez Zeledón, Costa Rica.
